Lost in thoughts of him...her back arches, her hands greedily wandering her own protruding love cannons, humidity rising in her Myllie Writer *Persona* Greta panties...she dials his number, "Come quickly." Myllie Writer tagged me and I thought it was some blight on my blog because I haven’t been posting enough. (Guilty conscience?)

Here are the rules: (You know them.)

Random Facts:

1. In real life my mom, sister and I all have the same shoe and ring sizes. My mom has great shoes and a lot of really expensive jewelry, and my sister shops, shall we say, *fashDisgust* discount. But as teenagers this oddity meant we had three times the jewels and shoes. Now it just means that if the dog pisses my shoes while I’m at their house, I’ll still have shoes to wear home.

2. I’m an unknown champion of a little known sport--leg wrestling. I found I had this talent around the age of 12. I leg wrestled my dad who is quite a burly dude, and I beat him. ELATION! In fact, I beat him three times in a row. Later, Dad’s friend came over to the house, a guy that worked out at the gym a lot, proud of his body...stance like Arnold Schwarzenegger, you know the type. Dad says, “So, Ronnie, why don’t you leg wrestle the kid, she’s pretty good.” Ronnie obliges with a smile, already visibly savoring victory over a 12 year old girl. BOOM...he’s over, mercilessly defeated by an 80 pound girl. The look on his face as he rights himself...astonishment mixed with the testosterone flush of a Goodyear Blimp-sized ego deflating. He growls that he wasn’t ready, rematch! There were 10 rematches in all, the 80 pound weakling won all of them. I think Ronnie carried his penis home in a purse that night.

3. As a party trick, I can fit a large doorknob in my mouth. And yes, if the guy wasn’t interested in me before that, oh hell yeah, he’s interested now. ;o)

4. Dream profession: singer. Dream voice: NO, relegated to singing my lungs out with the sunroof open.

5. & 6. My 8 pound toy poodle, Monet, has saved my life twice. One day I was walking him on our normal route down a country road. We get to a certain point on the tree-lined road and he just won’t budge. He’s normally very well-behaved, more obedient than any 2 year old child I know, and knows more tricks than a circus dog. So I tug, “C’mon, let’s get this done.” His bottom planted firmly on the road, his eyes peering at me like I’ve just escaped from the Funny Farm. Exasperated, I tell him to MOVE IT! At this point, he drags me off the road, just then a huge limb falls from a tree right onto the spot where we’d have been traveling if he’d let me continue the walk. No, I mean gargantuan, as in...kersplat! end of one woman and one tiny pooch. Let’s just say, I don’t second guess his judgment anymore. ;o)

Secondly, I’d just moved and took an older refrigerator with me. I’m getting ready for work one morning, and Monet won’t stop barking at the fridge. I look at the fridge and think, ah maybe he saw something under there, or his ball rolled under. I tell him to be quiet. He sits there silent for all of two seconds. Now he’s back on duty, barking his doggy arse off at the bottom of the fridge. Finally, I get on my hands and knees, two bare wires are rubbing together and sparking! The wall behind the fridge was over 200 year old barn wood. House fire averted, possessions intact, and dog...NOT dead....priceless. Yes, my dog is smarter than me, and yes, I get to use two numbers for this.

7. I seriously love bubblegum. No, I don’t love blowing bubbles, I just love chewing gum. Don’t even think about leaving a Juicy Fruit pack near me.

8. Escaped death more times than Evel Knievel.

What SLosers! Another story for the books.

When Fashion Fitz graciously sacrificed this blog space allowing me to tell my story, I admit there were some grand ideas in my head. Justice! A juicy expose on that all too painful topic of SL trust gone bad off my chest. Exposure of the bad guy; yadda yadda. Believe me I've gone over this not only in my own mind but with anyone who would listen. Choice real life therapy time when I should be discussing familial obstacles, work related slights and the like cast aside to the back of the legal pad for what you are about to hear. But now, when the blog chips are down, all I can muster is a laugh at myself for being so naive. I thank you in advance for humoring me that some little bit of justice will be served here. Read on please.

Yes I grant you there on honest people in SL. I actually consider myself one. I've taken financial loss to make good on SL promises. Silly me for expecting the same. I was thinking I'd met an honest person in Jedediah McDunnough, an old land buying colleague of mine. We met up again and he was quick to tell me his great news. His land company Land Investment Income Fund (LIF) was going IPO baby! on the International Stock Exchange of SL (word fictitious in very small letters). Tales of great riches realized already and the sky's the limit. Barb invest! So I did. To the tune of 5000 US Dollars. Oh yes I hesitated. There are after all no guarantees. But wait Barb! We will pay you back all the money you invest, we promise. Notecards were passed by his fashion challenged partner Stetson Rail (this would be a Fashion Fitz blog piece that only a month could do justice) with a cut and paste of how he so graciously gave someone 10000 Lindens because they were scammed on a land deal. Here is where I failed. I took the copious assurances of money back guarantees at their word. After all as Stetson says, if you don't have your word in SL you don't have a thing. There were skype conversations, cell phone numbers passed etc etc.

A point came when it was clear these guys were playing a game with their investors money and I opted out. Releasing dozens of thousands of shares without asking shareholders, me all of a sudden becoming a board member NOT a partner yadda yadda again. I just opted to walk away. Money on the way Barb. Weeks of asking passed. IM's ignored. The one where Stetson pretended to be his daughter bidding on sim auctions was especially humorous.

Then, with the help of the Ginko fiasco, the jig is up. Barb "it aint gonna happen." Hmmm. All of a sudden there isn't money left. Damn I thought. Mortgage due. Out on sick leave. These guys got me good.

I went to the stock exchange. No help. But wait! You said this was like real life? Oh I see finally. It's real life when the money is going THAT direction. I see.

As I said tons of therapy and selling stocks we didn't want to later, I was getting over it. My therapist says I am an "experiential" learner. What the hell is that?? I'm 40. How have I not heard this before? But over it I was getting. Until.....da da daaaaaaaa. The notecard........

I get this notecard from a guy who claims, oh and I believe him, that Stetson Rail agrees to buy a private sim and pay him 1300 US Dollars. Stetson pays 800 then disappearo. This guy says I am still listed on the Board and wants the money from ME?? Oh boy I needed that laugh! We straighten this out and finally with pressure he gets his money. Pennies! that 500 bucks!

So here's the rub. No money to pay me back but they own at least 4 private sims and are buying more. That sounds like Texas math (really don't mess with Texas).

So if justice is to be served which part of my experiential learning has been it likely won't, don't buy land under a spinning Land Investment Income Fund box. Don't rent from them they charge WAY too much! They practice insider trading with their stock just bad bad bad.

If you got this far thanks for sticking with it! This isn't a scorned investor story. It's that fine line where SL and RL bump into each other. Perhaps glancing off and someone loses. I've accepted that's me and have learned from my experience. Don't lend money without RL papers and don't invest in SL stocks.

Here's to some nice experiential learning in the future!

Nora's collar is starched to perfection, the bounty of bodacious buttons are a blast (not from a blazing bullet), and extra details like the prim button tabs on the upper arm make my heart skip a beat (fashLove, not fright, SOS). Kicking worn denim up a fashnotch, the Armidi {Gisaci} gold tank (part of the {Gisaci} Rainy Day Dress - Gold) which would make Midas drool with envy, and Nicky Ree's free spring skirt (part of the Nicky Ree Free Spring Dress-Yellow). To knock the chill off--Veschi's tintable cloche (-Veschi- blonde hair with bucket hat), by the fashGenius, Alla Ruff, and her -Veschi- titillating tintable target tights (fashgasms all the way!). I love Web 2.0 (my geek is showing I know). I’m chuffed to have found a brilliant tool/site for getting into sl using a browser called movablelife.net. That’s right… you can log into your account and use IM and chat and even tp (the map never seemed to work for me), but there is no 3D interface.

In-world your av rezzes but you stand there mostly untextured and ruthenized. HORRORS for the fashDependent, I know! The site seems to be in alpha, which means it could be a bugger for you, but I find it piss easy to use, and invaluable when accessing from work where I can’t install any SL client. Check it out next time you're out of your Second Life element.

If you MUST wear clothes, make sure they're comfy. I'm warm and cuddly (after the beating life has given me) in the red Stacey sweater by Gaia Goodnight of Darkstar Designs. The sweater has prim collar and cuffs, covers the body bruises nicely. (Thanks Gaia, for replacing the sweater and my beloved Syd hair when LL ate them! You're a doll!)

On a mission to win the Super Skinny Skank Model Contest, Fashion Fitz plunges into a radical diet. Subsisting on celery prims and Linden ocean water for weeks, her desired mesh weight is attained. Having lost nearly all of her friends due to her increasingly foul mood, Fashion Fitz contemplates her new look through the eyes of her last fashFriend, Harrd Rhode.

"Biatch, yer bonez are showing."

"You know I LOVE da BONEZ!!! *huff* Besides, I'm gonna be a Super Skinny Skank Model."

"You got the Skinny Skank right. *scowls in disgust* You look, and ACT like Cruella DeVille."

Fitz's eyes piercing Harrd, tummy rumbling, anger and hunger mixed like two twisted demons battling for domination--Harrd suddenly looks awfully tasty. {{{dream sequence}}} (Visions of Harrd rump roast, Fashion Fitz droolz.)

Hairs standing on end on the back of Harrd's neck, Fitz's hollow, hungry eyes burning into his arse, "Say Fitz, don't you know anorexic models are soooo last season?" In a hurried attempt to save his own ass, Harrd flies to Kitchen Korner where he knows Chef Karamel Madison and Chef DavidDM Therian have been cooking and baking 24/7 (it's true, they never stop.). Harrd promises a super skanky sale to lure Fashion Fitz, but quickly teleports her to Kitchen Korner's king-sized kitchen with overflowing banquet tables. (Kitchen Korner has free dining and samples, figures, Harrd always was a cheap bastage.)

Fitz is bonier by the minute (look, her skull is even showing!); she hates cooking anyway, and Harrd would be a tough swallow without hours of marinating and some turning on a spit. Harrd shoves berry pie a la mode in Fitz's hand, a giant cookie--anything to fatten and fill Fitz. She greedily gobbles the delightful dishes like a pack of rescued puppy mill dogs.

Fashion Fitz's gnawing hunger satiated, finally meshed out a fraction, she finds enough energy to dance for fashJoy!

A patient tenant waits eight laggy days...sure, you allow a few days for Linden Lab's little idiosyncrasies, and then a few more days for good-natured benefit of the doubt. Howevah, aftah eight days of being stuck in Ravenglass Rental Winnipeg quicksand, and having to teleport elsewhere (like shopping WOOT!) to alleviate the lag, it's becoming a bothah (as Pooh would quip). The final test was Calla's weekend hair hunt with a full sim! (I know, I tried to teleport someone! It was awesome! *satisfied smile*) I was not unduly laggy in Callatropia, moved freely, enjoyed my hair hunt happiness.

Finally, today I arrive in-world, greeted by RavenLAG. I politely message Prokofy Neva for assistance. I was kind, I'm a real life business owner, I know how to handle these issues. I informed Prokofy of my lag issues, wondered if the rotating rental signs near my home could be moved in favor of a less lag-inducing alternative.

It was a friendly request, but Prokofy (is it coinkidink that her name is so like PROVOKify? *grins*) has taken great liberty to slander and misquote me on her blog, Second Thoughts. I was never rude, as she states about the initial conversation, and as evidenced by the actual (partial) conversation that she pasted into her post. I'm not worried about Prokofy's slander--those who know my character will know the truth. The best proof is watching Prokofy go OFF on me and say I'm a LIAR because I have a complaint about her sim's lag?!? (That's pure comedy!) Doesn't she know I have bettah things to do than request help with RavenLAG? Like shopping! *giggles*

I continued being nice after she berated me (prior to the quote listed on her site.) I thought it was over at this point (here's me...resigned to RavenLAG):

Digit Darkes released Autumn Tulle skirts yesterday. Unfortunately, the skirts I blogged on Tuesday were not quite finished! OoOOps, sorry Digit! So heeere's the completed fash-fix (thanks, Sasy Scarborough, for helping me rectify the mistake)! The skirts were great before, even bettah now! Each skirt comes with the option of two different belts: ribbon belt, a sweet sash (pictured in blood); or the interlocking D logo belt which has a more urban feel (pictured in chocolate). The addition of the belt is divine, Digit, they rock my panties! (If I was wearing any! *smiles*)

I have had a longtime love affair with Digit's latex, among many of her other designs. Latex longing brought me to this review skirt set! Digit is one of those warm-hearted designer's who picks you up when Linden Lab's lets you down. While altruistically replacing my prized bright pink liquid latex halter (I always feel like Malibu Barbie wearing this!), Digit Darkes multiply blessed me with these fashboyant autumn tulle skirts, released October 10th! The autumn tulle skirts come in gradations or solids; above I'm wearing the gradations deep royal with Blaze's Allure halter in blue (part of outfit).

Candy it up!, hott pink autumn tulle gradations skirt just keeps getting more cotton candy sweet when topped with the Digit Darkes bright pink liquid latex halter. Don't you want to eat me up? Being a bald person in second life has just gotten easier! Today I visited Simply Britnee , nice little shop with male and female wigs. Lets take a look around and see what is up with all this hair. By the first glance, I see all hair is L$150. That to me is a great price for what you receive. Looking around the store you will find over 40 styles of men's hair. The color options are endless. You may end up with over 40 different options with each hair purchase. Most all basic
colors are covered with this purchase. With the color options and the highlights for only L$150 this is a great deal.
I wear several hair selections from this shop. Today I am wearing *Brits* Armando. This hair seems to wear very nice, some minor adjustments may be needed. Below is another *Brits* Brandon UK. This hair set also wears very nice. I like how you get some hair hanging lower on the forehead. You get the 40 plus color variations with this purchase also.
Here you will see some of the other options you can have with these two different hairstyles. Not a bad deal if you ask me. Why go with one color? Change that look daily.
I found this great looking red and white hair today! Only paid L$1 for this one! Woot,Woot! Think I may head down and see what all the ladies are laughing about. Did I also mention that they also sell female hair? Yep is true! Come on down and check this place out.

Saturday, October 6, Armidi opens its sim doors to the masses of hair, clothing, and accessory hungry throngs. Walking down the streets of Armidi's sim, one feels the virtual presence of Rodeo Drive. Opulent architecture begs you to enter each store, and you are not disillusioned. Clothes, lingerie (L$225), shoes (L$375), belts (L$175), hair (L$325 per female color set), sunglasses, handbags, eyes, and manicure sets await you inside.

Designer's Nicole David, Lola Marquez, and Liam Oliver have brought us fashion as stimulating as top RL fashion houses. In an interview with Nicole David, Fashion Fitz asked, "Are you patterning your designs after Armani or Versace? I get a very upscale, exclusive vibe here." Nicole replied, "Armidi was inspired by a lot of things we've seen in RL, but no particular brand. We offer upscale and casual stores."

I purchased the Sequined Midsummer Night Dress (gold) for L$245. This cocktail dress is perfect for parties, weddings, or walking your SL dog (there's no excuse for looking shabby, fashDahlin's!). A slight disappointment is that the only layer provided for underneath the skirt is an underwear layer of the glitch underpants; a minor inconvenience outweighed by the sheer fashLuxury of this dress.

I also bought the Milano wig in the light blonde collection (four blonde tones are provided). Modern elegance exudes from this Heidi Klum-like hairstyle. The texture is divine, one of the best blonde textures I've seen in SL. In essence, you'll come for the hair, but you'll stay for every fashUlickin' good item offered in the variety of stores in this sim! Prepare to be stunned, fashDahlin's!

Heavenly Rings from Hell

The great thing about the Jewelry Expo was getting to see work by designer's I had no clue about previously. I had been on a massive SL hunt for a perfect prim ring without success. Infernal's booth with rings (among other things) by Accacia Brissot brought me to primtastic heaven! I loved the Ever After platinum bridal ring so much, I had Harrd take a look at the groom's ring. These are wedding rings, but why wait for a wedding to have a fashgasm?

The Ever After bride's band is L$700, groom's is L$550; very reasonably priced for such detail. The rings have presence, as you can see from the picture (above left). The bling on the bridal band is subtle, the groom's band does not bling. The prim work is devilishly divine, and the platinum texture is rich with realism.

I had a few questions for Accacia and she most graciously responded:

Actually, you probably gave me some inspiration to start on them! lol I keep getting side-tracked by other things I love; such as, shoes and boots...that's been my new thing as of late!

Harrd Rhode and I decided that our buddy, Kealan Klata, needed some help with his bed. I should've taken a before picture, because things got a bit hairy (yes, we went shag...) prior to Harrd's final edit of Kealan's bed! What was once bordello red and purple velvet with wood accents is now the lovely feckin' vision you see before you! Improvement?

Kealan doesn't seem to think so! Innocent lil' ol' me being choked mercilessly for ruining Kealan's expensive bed! Personally, I think it's an enhancement (like my breasts *smiles*)! Thanks, Harrd, for making me need to wear Depends from laughing so much!

24th August, 1943

Last night during a very severe air raid one of our residents houses was obliterated, we sent our roving reporter Clark Bent to get an eyewitness report on what happened.

"I was just getting ready for a night on the town when the air raid sirens started" said local resident Lois Rane.

"There wasn't much warning before the bombs started dropping and I didn't have time to get dressed. My family are away from the city at the moment they are visiting my Aunt in St. Ives but due to my work commitments I had to stay in town by myself".

Still in her underwear and outside the shelter Lois was happy to pose for photographs.

Whilst we were taking photographs one of the ladies of the WI brought Lois a box of supplies from the Salvation Army.

"I love these Sally Anne boxes" exlaimed Lois. "They often have really good stuff in em, see all the ladies in the posh ouses give their stuff away and its ardly been used, I guess they see it as doing their bit for the war"

As you can see from our next pictures Lios did indeed find a truly marvelous dress in cerise with white polka dots.

"This ere dress goes perfectly with my dotty shoes that George got me before e was drafted. They are my most prized possession. They cost im nearly a months wages".

We then escorted Lois into the house to survey the damage and to get her first reaction

"Bleeding heck" She said "We were lucky weren't we? good job no one was in the ouse",

"oh crap!"

Whilst picking through the rubble Lois had laddered her stockings

"This was my last pair, I used up the last of me ration coupons on these ones, oh well Im sure them nice GI's will ave some for me"referring to the local American GI's that are stationed in nearby barracks.

"Me Dad says they are over-sexed, over-paid and over ere, but anyone that can get me stockings during rations and fancy chocolates and fruit from far off lands can't be all that bad can they? Plus they do ave cute accents ave you eard em talk?"

Well we leave our Lois here amongst the rubble and head back to the offices. She assures us that a friend will put her up for a few nights until she can get down to her family in St. Ives. We wish you luck Lois and hope you and your family stay safe throughout the war...

Birth of Persona and AnnaH Couture

I had the honor of attending the New Shoots fashion show with Harrd Rhode, and previewing Persona and AnnaH's offerings. Myllie Writer is the designer for Persona. Myllie's designs are very Banana Republicesque; streamlined, and great for the modern career woman. Here are some of my favorite pieces of her new collection modeled by Alaska Metropolitan’s Metro Model Agency models.

I purchased one of the Persona fat packs of four different colors of sheer buttoned shirts for L$280. There are several fat four packs to choose from. I paired the shirts with the Metro skirt and stockings by Luminosity and Zhao's Sadie freebie shoes. There are endless ways to layer this see through blouse. It comes with a bra for a sexy-yet-modest look, or it can be made opaque by wearing both the jacket and shirt layer together. Dressed up or down, this shirt is a fashUmust basic for your wardrobe!

AnnaH Couture by Annah Whitfield is a modernized retro feminine line. My favorite creation of hers is the innovative Paris shorts with prim cuffs. Harrd seemed to remember fondly the black cocktail dress with the over-sized bow as something his prom date wore. I think the movement of the skirt is captivating.

To honor the birth of fashion designer’s I took all the photos of newly born fashion in the birthing suites of M & M Birthing & Maternity Clinic where all of you with a yen for fashioning a prim baby may have at a delivery of another sort...I’ll stick to fashion, thanks very much!

Hanging out in SL

So this week I am just chilling hanging out in SL taking things easy..

When I think of hanging out just chilling shooting the breeze in SL, there is no better place than this apple tree at the house of Han Solo** for doing just that! I absolutely adore this tree and its whacky poses and when i figure out the way to uproot and take it home be warned my good man I will do just that!! Its the perfect place to relax and write my blogs

I love this new skirt top combo called "Dots" from Nyte'n' Day it comes complete with booty shorts, primmed skirt (as shown) optional

stockings and bootleg pants. Nyte'n'Day really have some great clothing in store at the moment and the scripted skirts are worth buying. I have two and I am sure myself or Loren will be blogging them in future posts.

When I find a good outfit I like to accessorise and I found this great necklace that will compliment any outfit. It's called Juliette and I am wearing silver and scarlet from Earthtones

my gravity defying hair (Thanks for noting that Robert) is called LeAnn and can be found in the blonde pack I am wearing Seashell and its from Sirena. it comes with an optional hair slide which is colour changeable.

Then put on your Pushbutton Industries Dock Rope Choker by Pushbutton Skolnick, and hang yourself on hangman at the State of Mind Garden! The Dock Rope Choker’s texturing is fashizzlingly hawt, and the suggestion of escaping a hanging is right up my alley!

My friend, Tie Roux, introduced me to the splendid State of Mind Garden. Plenty of PG pose balls for the romantically-inclined; a beach, waterslide, waterfalls, and a relaxing raft await you. For those unsuccessful at hanging themselves with the Pushbutton Industries Dock Rope Choker, shoot yourself out of a cannon while you’re there! (I think that's the last I saw of Tie...*horrors*)

What would it take for a fashionista to spend all evening brazenly buff? Twob Larsen's .:Suite 17:. Anouc Beach Base skin and a trip to Island Fantasies Nude Beach was the perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening.

I must admit, I am rather pickyrific about the skinz...being a custom avatar maker, I know about skinz and shapes. My biz partner, Kealan Klata, makes skinz, so I’ve watched him agonize over these naked forms. I give Twob Larsen props for his .:Suite 17:. Anouc skin.

I am wearing Anouc Beach Bare which is the darkest tone of Twob Larsen's three tones of skin. Each tone comes in 11 makeups (soon to be more), and run L$1300 per skin or L$7500 for a fat pack of all 11 makeups. Each skin comes with the option of pubic hair or clean shaven, along with four different prim eyelashes.

I reworked my face shape (see below) to match the skin better, and I am wearing the prim eyelashes in light. I am in LOVE with these tits! Twob has done a magnificent job of keeping this streaker-worthy skin simple with less-is-more shading. The makeup on the Beach Base skin is very beach girl clean. The look is classic, and will complement fall/winter fashion, as well as the beach attire I chose. The bikini is one of the marvelous freebies from MG Fashion. The shoes are the L$50 color-changeable summer slingbacks from ETD.

You’ll note I used two separate shapes: my normal (but slightly tweaked) shape, and Skarlet, another shape by /Shift\. Fashion Fitz was not ready for her au naturel debut just yet, but I knew /Shift’s\ Skarlet shape would be perfect for this skin. I did not adjust Skarlet’s shape at all! I hope this gives you an idea of how the skin looks on different shapes.

Twob isn’t a one trick monkey! Standing in his peaceful, chic store with the sounds of rolling waves in my ears, my eyes landed upon these fashUlush Jetgloss sunglasses, only one example of his line of modifiable sunglasses. There are demos of each style to make sure the glasses look great on your av. The demo contains the scripted lens color changer. I feel like Jackie O in these L$250 Jetgloss shades. Bravo Twob, I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
